“TL;DR – Artur and Planeta works is the best contractor you could imagine working with. If you don’t want to read this whole review – don’t hesitate picking up the phone to call him and take his bid. ——— I’ll start this review with a set of questions. Have you ever heard of a contractor that does all of the following: says what he does and does what he says? Shows up with the consistency of a Swiss watch? Has the highest standards of craftsmanship? Is priced fairly? Yeah, me either – until now. Enter Artur Planeta of Planeta Works.
We recently worked with him on a home project that included new flooring, a full kitchen demo and remodel, and redoing our fireplace. He came highly recommended to us by our designer and I am glad we listened.
From the moment we met Artur during a project scoping meeting, I noticed his attention to detail and keen eye. He asked thoughtful questions, identified potential risks that would require extra work, and was very thoughtful about his commitments. On the first day of work, Artur showed up at exactly 8am as he had promised and immediately got underway. Without fail, he arrived at the exact time he said he would each day he said he would be on site. He communicated any materials delays, concerns, or risks without hesitation and with appropriate urgency. More than that, he tolerated our questions and concerns throughout with kindness and respect, even the very silly ones.
At the end of each day, Artur could be found organizing his tools in one place to keep them out of the way, vacuuming where he had worked to prevent dust and mess, and cleaning up the outside workspaces. It made living at home during this project as tolerable as one could hope for. For as messy as a construction project can be, it says a lot about someone who believes in a continuous clean and neat approach.
While Artur did much of the project himself, any time he had helpers or subcontractors onsite (plumbing, electrical, tile etc) , they were just as outstanding as he was – it’s clear to me that he has high standards for himself and for others and will not accept any less. I am not someone who is comfortable with people working in his home unsupervised, but I would trust Artur and the people he works with to do anything.
His work speaks for itself and the pictures do not do it justice – it’s even more beautiful in person. We have plans in the next couple of years to redo our bathrooms and he will be our only call.”

“We hired Planeta to replace the wood flooring in three of our bedrooms. It has been a joy to work with them from the start. First off, they respond to email (a rarity in this biz). I was able to arrange an estimate quickly and Arthur showed up on time. He is extremely knowledgeable and professional and gave me frank advice on how to approach our project. The emailed me the bid next day and their pricing was right in the middle of the four bids we got. Two other estimates I had to call them to remind them to actually give me a bid!
The communication leading up to the start of our project was top notch w/ plenty of notice on when we’d need to move out and for how long (for the fumes). Arthur was on time each day and kept to the project schedule to a tee. He was extremly considerate on keeping the rest of our house clean and the job site was cleaned up each night. He worked with me on my picky color matching demands and Jennifer in the office is extremely responsive via email. The quality of the work is great and we couldn’t be happier. They extended red oak flooring from our kitchen to the family room, installed maple flooring with mahogany boarders in the living room, installed Brazilian cherry flooring in our large master bedroom (16×18) and sitting area (12×12), and refinished the oak flooring downstairs.
Everything looks absolutely gorgeous! I thought the gentleman who helped us did a phenomenal job! I couldn’t be happier with the quality of his workmanship. He’s a true craftsman. The transitions from the new flooring to our old flooring look seamless. We experience minimal dust, and I thought he did a great job cleaning up at the end of each day. Overall, I would describe him as reliable, trustworthy, and hard working. I really can’t say enough good things about this company.
